Many people in Surrey use NHS 111 and GP Out-of-Hours services. NHS 111 is a national service managed locally by Clinical Commissioning Groups.

North West Surrey Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), in partnership with CCGs in East Surrey, Guildford and Waverley and Surrey Downs, are procuring a new combined NHS 111 and GP Out-of-Hours service. The NHS 111 service in Surrey rates in the top 15% in the country for clinical excellence, so this is an opportunity to make the service even better.

You are invited to help us shape plans by providing your views and experiences of the current services and tell us what changes you would like to make if you had the opportunity to. We want to make sure we provide the very best care for you, so your feedback is really important. Please share your views by taking the online survey www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/111views

There are a number of public engagement events taking place across Surrey next week, hosted by the four partner CCGs. Please come along and talk to us!

I'd have come if I'd known. We haven't had good experience I'm afraid. They advised us to go to Epsom Hospital after two and a half hours waiting for a call back. We were advised to go to Epsom A&E where we then waited for three hours in a cold and grubby waiting area. By then it was after midnight and my teenager who has mild mental health problems sobbed to go home and finally followed my advice to take some nurofen. Advice a dr or nurse answering the phone could and should have given but didn't have the competence to do so. The Dr we spoke to was also so heavily accented it was almost impossible to have an intelligent two way conversation. This was not satisfactory. If in doubt again I would just go to A&E because that would access services more quickly. All my daughter needed was reassurance at a vulnerable time.

I would also never attend Epsom Hospital for A&E again. If something was seriously wrong they don't have the scope to deal with it and I have now heard that Surrey University does not send trainee nurses there due to poor standards and that speaks volumes.

Local services are most unsatisfactory. Especially MH care for young people. Local GP services are dominated by a massive practice with 33,000 patients who are extremely inefficient and the high quality practice has closed its list due to the number of escapees who have transferred.
