Dreamy, fun and eccentric, Curious Arts Festival returns to the beautiful grounds of Pylewell Park deep in the New Forest this summer with Jabberwocky Hunts, songwriting sessions, ukelele workshops, insect walks, puppet making, photography lessons from The Week Junior and Story Cures amongst a host of other activities to stimulate young minds. Comedian Howard Read brings his brand new stand-up show for kids, Yukfest and they'll be entertainment from dawn to dusk with Breakfast Film Club and Bedtime Story readings.
Adults can expect an eclectic, top quality music offering from Tom Odell, Ibibio Sound Machine and Brit Critics Choice Award winner Izzy Bizu. Topped off with 00Heaven on Sunday night as the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra performing The Music of Bond. This year's Curious comedy includes Mock The Week's hilarious Ed Byrne, Radio 4 regular Simon Evans, Paul Tonkinson, Nat Luurtsema and sketch group The Noise Next Door.
The literary line-up stars an unparalleled list of the most talked about and awarded authors of 2017 including Dave Eggers, Joanna Trollope, Shaun Greenhalgh, Matt Haig, award winning journalist Lynn Barber and prize winners Eimear McBride and Keggie Carew.
Explore any number of curiosities with gong baths, cocktail masterclasses, snail racing, life drawing, yoga and headdress making or just relax in a deckchair, G&T in hand, listening to the acoustic stage overlooking the Solent. This prize consists of an All Weekend Family Ticket to the Curious Arts Festival 2017, worth £279. Please note that a Family ticket consists of two adults and up to three children, aged 13 or under. The festival runs from Friday 21 July to Sunday 23 July 2017. All weekend festival goers are invited to camp at no extra charge. Glamping options are also available at additional cost. The festival site is open for camping from noon on Friday 21 July to 10am on Monday 24 July. The winner must provide their email address so they can be notified by email and their tickets sent directly to them by the ticketing company, Eventbrite.
