Christmassy things to do in or around Dundee

Hi,
I'm thinking of taking my 3 and 1 year old back home to Dundee over the Christmas break. Does anyone have any particular recommendations for lovely festive things to do in or around Dundee or day trip ideas?
Thanks in advance!

I've heard good things about the Glamis santa experience but haven't been myself.

Apparently the Santa thing at Muddy Boots just outside Cupar is amazing.

Whatever you do, don't go to Dobbies, we went and it was so bad I complained and got a refund.

I know it's further away but they are advertising the light thingy total memory fail up at Pitlochry. Apparently it's fantastic.
Another one that says avoid Dobbies and paying for Santa although their displays are normally quite good.
Hopefully we will have a Xmas market in the Caird hall squarey which, whilst overpriced tat at times, feels Christmassy.
Check for the light switch one in the ferry and Dundee, I've heard they were good.
I can't think of much else tbh.... Dundee just doesn't make it work much anymore

Check the cooncils (feel at hame yet? Grin) website what's on list. There's panto and stuff on.

I've seen ads for the Dragon experience at Monikie Park. Kind of like the Pitlochry lights thingy but very much geared towards youngsters.
There's usually a lot on at Camperdown Park at the weekends through December, there'll be info on the Dundee City Council website for that

Santa's grotto at Brechin Castle Garden Centre is usually good. It's traditional and not too expensive. Santa spends a bit of time with each child. (Reminds me of seeing Santa in when I was little!).
I think they do 'Breakfast with Santa' in the run up to Christmas.

Thanks so much for the great suggestions. I'll check them out!
Dolores That does take me back hame!
