Where to live in/near Loughborough

We are soon to be relocating from Sheffield to Loughborough. Myself and my husband will be working at different places. My husband will be working near Wickes/Staples and I will be working near the college.

We would like to buy a house (3 or 4 bed) but not sure about areas. We are wanting any advice on areas. We would like local amenities. Ideally a community feel. We will both have cars so transport not an issue but a bus route would be nice. We don't have children yet but hope to in future. We would like ease of access to the town centre for an evening etc.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks - what about the roads around Atherstone Road, Cleveland Road, JetCott Av, Southdown Road....? Are these classed as Forest side?

I don't know those roads very well. If you look at any houses on rightmove they always, always mention it if it's on the 'favoured Forest side' - it's one of the unspoken rules of house-selling in Loughborough!

That said, there are plenty of other perfectly fine bits of town.

Any thoughts on Tiverton Road, Ledbury Road, Grasemere Road, Mayo Close area?

Also, where is Shelthorpe?

Shelthorpe is the area at the edge of Loughborough as you head to Quorn. Without wanting to offend anyone who lives there you are unlikely to find anyone who'd advise you to look there. I don't know the roads you've asked about but will look them up

Does anyone know what Trinity Gardens is like? It's the new build estate the opposite side of the roundabout to Grange Park
