Haywards Heath Thoughts???

A regular situation that's often posted but I'd be most grateful if anyone out there can help with the following......... Desperately want to move from our flat in SE London to something a little larger, with outside space and decent schools. After much searching, Haywards Heath seems to tick many of our boxes. Only thing is we have no idea which areas are 'good' regarding housing and schools. Our budget is £400k, our daughter 6 (Year 2) and ideally we'd like a 3 bed semi-detached, drive, garage and largish garden (who doesn't!;-)). Any information regarding which areas are desirable and the ones that are not (and any other info) would be great!! Many thanks!

Hi. I live in Haywards Heath and have brought up our children here (now teenagers). For desirable housing areas, stick as close to the railway station as possible -avoid America Lane, Bentswood area, Wilmington Way and the new housing estate off America Lane. The best primary schools are Harlands, Lindfield, Blackthorns. Both secondary schools, Warden Park and Oathall have good reputations.
H/H is a great location; close to London, Brighton and Gatwick airport. Also close to beautiful countryside to explore with your children.
You will be able to get a lovely family house with your budget.

Avoid America Lane and any street with a USA place in the name, this isn't a very desirable area. Bolnore (in Haywards Heath) is a lovely development with its own primary school and small parade of shops.

We are hoping to move to Haywards Heath in the next month or so depending on the sale of our house. We are orginally from London but been living abroad for the last 10 years. We visited Haywards Heath last year when looking for areas to move to and loved it. Now we are getting nearer to moving time (fingers crossed) I would really appreciate any help with schools.
Both my girls would be going to primary school and older one is due to start secondary school in sept 2018.
Can you please let me know if there are any schools in the area to be avoided and also areas to avoid for living?

Hi! We are looking for areas in and around Haywards Heath also. Have 2 children (almost 8 and 6 years old), so we need primary and eventually secondary. Thank you!
