Looking for dyslexia friendly secondary school

My 12 year old (year 8) son is a recently diagnosed dyslexic and I am desperately trying to find a secondary school that anyone can recommend due to personal experience of their child receiving strong support for their dyslexia. Or, do you know of a school that has a proven track record in supporting dyslexic children, possibly they have a dyslexia unit or specialist dyslexia teachers? My son is not statemented and I have little faith in OFSTED reports, so any recommendations would be very much appreciated.

I am looking for schools in this borough, but if you know of a really amazing schools elsewhere, please let me know.

Where is your son at the moment? The daughter of a good friend of mine, was recently diagnosed with quite severe dyslexia. She attends Highgate Wood in Crouch End. She was unsure how the school would deal with it (being a state school), but apparently they have been amazing. As I understand it, they have assessed her needs, provide a pc to her when needed, provided a one-on-one support teacher for certain lessons... All in all, the family are very happy with what they are doing. A meeting with the SENCO would be a good place to start.
