As part of their final clinical exam in Obstetrics and Gynaecology on the Medicine course at Oxford, our students are asked to do a routine antenatal exam on pregnant ladies (26 weeks or more).
This involves feeling and measuring the ‘bump’, listening to the baby’s heartbeat. There will be Consultant present who may ask the students a few questions too.
The exam is on a Friday afternoon (various time slots between 2pm – 5.30pm) in Outpatients at the Women’s Centre at the John Radcliffe hospital, and takes about 40 minutes. We pay £40 to the ladies that help us with the exam.
Partners are welcome to attend, but no children I’m afraid (in case it’s distracting for the students).
If you’d be interested in helping with the exams, then the next exams are on the afternoon of Friday 23rd October.

Many thanks!
