BBC Radio Cambridgeshire wishes to invite interested Cambridge mums to the recording of our special Election Debate –
“is the NHS itself in urgent need of resuscitation? “
It's used by all of us and perhaps taken for granted: a 24/7 service that needs a 21st century overhaul. The NHS is a key issue for voters at this year's General Election. And here in Cambridgeshire, the debate has intensified amidst some damaging headlines: A&E waiting times amongst the worst in the country....the nation's first privately-run hospital declared a failure. And with a growing and rapidly-ageing population, is the NHS itself in urgent need of resuscitation?
It's a question BBC Radio Cambridgeshire will be putting to its 5 political panellists, one of whom is a paediatrician; another, a former nurse. They are Sebastian Kindersley (Lib Dem), Chamali Fernando (Conservative), Nik Johnson (Labour), Marion Mason (UKIP) and Rupert Read (Green).
Hosted by BBC Radio Cambridgeshire’s Breakfast presenter Dotty McLeod, the debate is being recorded at the Oak Tree Centre, Huntingdon on Wednesday 22 April - from 6 – 7.30pm.
Entrance is free, but interested individuals MUST pre-register and complete an audience questionnaire.
Email Lizzy Dickinson [email protected] to register your interest in attending. Confirmation of registration and further details will be sent by return.
