Hi OP. We're going to move this post to our local Surrey board in a moment where you should get a better response.

There are lots of schools nearer to Guildford, and I wouldn't fancy driving those roads everyday - especially in winter.

Its an okay school though, as far as I know.

Guildford area covers quite a lot of ground. Is Duke of Kent really the closest? It's a good school, the senior school is a relatively new addition, and doesn't go up to sixth form.

I know of a few families that live in Ewhurst who send their children to Belmont school instead though.

Hi cutevedha,
We are hoping to send our kids there after local state infant school. We have friends with a 3 and 5 year old at the school- they are really happy and impressed. I also have a friend who has moved their son there in year 5 and they can't fault it and are really pleased. The new head seems to be driving it forward and it's popularity seems to have grown with this. That's all I have though.
Good luck!
Kat

I have 2 secondary school boys there and I can't fault the school. Its not overly selective (although that is gradually changing as it becomes more established) but results are very good. The lack of a 6th form doesn't seem to be a problem as in my opinion a lot of kids move post GCSE anyway. Teachers are all excellent and appear to be really committed. Its small size means all kids are known personally and get to take part in the various activities/sports etc regularly.

Definitely worth a visit - school runs regular buses to/from Guildford

It's a lovely family feel school.
Your little one will love this school - an all round education!
My nephews started at 3yrs and have gone up through the school- lovely polite, caring , clever boys.
My daughter joined in the Senior School- wish she had started there at 3yrs old.

Any insights into Belmont, Duke of Kent’s Chinthurst and Longscre. I know the situation re to 16 at first two and the feeder school situation at Chinthurst. I want pastoral care for a little one y3!with social skills issues but who is is academically able (eg Reigate Grammar/Freemens level). How supportive is it for those with mild additional needs? How far is prep going on for 11 plus? Are they academic enough if when more confident he’s able to do v well eg even RGS. I want him to be happy but not bored.
