Good Blonde Colourists in Glasgow - so hard to find!

I have long blonde hair that needs a full head of foils every 4 weeks but have had nothing but disasters in many salons in Glasgow lately. One charged me £130 for yellow roots and most others, i leave the salon still with a good inch of roots. Help!!

Is your hair very fine?

Have you ever tried/asked for a (Ye Olde) rubber cap instead? SO retro I know! but foils have NEVER worked on my hair either. I've had the nasty yellowy roots problem too with them every time, and as for the long 'side-burns' in front of my ears, the almost surgical horizontal line between the old and new colour takes several weeks to blend in and look even halfway 'natural'.

Most hairdressers will look at you in horror if you suggest this option - but the results for me have far outweighed the initial criticism of this method from the professionals so far.

The hooky metal stick can be a bit nippy on the scalp but a small price to pay when you're already paying out so much financially a month for something you're currently unhappy with.

Happy new rootless next 'Do Smile

Hi , I just posted a thread on Jonathan R Forbes Hair. He prefers the "old rubber cap" too and does it sooooo gently you don't feel a thing! You get a lot longer from your highlights too as there are no roots showing when you please :)

Wooops! I mean "when you leave"!

Just for clarification, it's not exactly the "old rubber cap". It's like a plastic cap that he heats with the hair drier to shrink snugly to your head, and then he gently pulls through fine strands of hair ;-)
