Edinburgh Primary School

Hi all!
I'm looking for a word, or many words, of advice or recommendation of Edinburgh primary school.
My daughter is 5, started P1 in September. Her current school is all right, I guess, but we want more. Mostly because she is exceptionally smart (it's not just bigheaded mum's talk :-)) and it pains us to see it going to waste - we're looking for school that will promote, challenge and appreciate it's better doing pupils to the same extent it supports the ones needing extra help. As in - little geniuses will get as much or more attention as the less lucky ones. And all of that done in wholesome and friendly atmosphere. Does any one of you know of such miraculous place?
We'll be moving soon and the choice of new location will largely depend on schools in the area.
So, any help will be greatly appreciated.

We were delighted with how Juniper Green primary stretched our children and offered lots of opportunities for wider educational experience outside of the core curriculum. It is in a lovely new building but is extremely popular so look carefully at the catchment as out of catchment placements are non existent.

In the nicest possible way, you may get more constructive responses if you tone down your first post...

It will not endear you to people referring to your 5 year old as a "little genius" who deserves more support than those with additional needs.

I really really hope you don't come across like this in the playground, for your dd sake Confused.

Personally, I felt school did so much for my dd and I then did things at home to stimulate her in a fun way without her knowing it was education.

With all the cuts being made in education just now, I would probably consider if private school may be a better option.

My dd is now 15 in an average state high school, who get her and she rarely gets below 90% in tests. They have been greatly supportive of her recent surgery and subsequent need for time off for check ups.

My very quiet Ds is doing fantastic as well. He rarely tells us anything yet is excelling at school just how I would hope.

It's not always about the school but support from home.
