Swimming pool charges

Did anyone see the Hunts post this week?
there's a guy in it talking about being charged £2.20 to take a baby swimming.
I've been to a kids soft play place where they tried to charge my friend for taking a sleeping 4 month old in. That was after they charged for adults to get in - it make you think twice about buying more than one coffee - haven't been back

This is why we never go swimming. And even if you can afford to get in, the pool is always closed for swimming lessons. Our swimming is limited to trips to Bedford Oasis for the occasional treat. I will have to teach the DDs to swim by chucking them in the Ouse. Wink

Which soft play was that? I've been to some truly shocking ones. We always go to Flutterbyz in Fenstanton now.

Big sky pbro they didn't charge in the end but the point had to be clearly argued

I get the pool included in my gym membership & can take my 2 for nothing. Hence my surprise over the 2.20 for the odd swim here & there. Babys are only in the water for 20 min. Do you think it's danger money for the risk of escaping baby poo?

Oh, I've never taken mine to Big Sky. I've heard it's expensive though.

I would love to take mine swimming more often but the only pool near here that I know of that's shallow enough for them to touch the bottom is Peterborough, and it seems like there's always a swimming lesson on.

Escaped baby poo might be a risk factor- I thought most pools insisted on one of those neoprene swim nappies now though?
