Cambridge birthday parties (3 yo!)

Hi all! I need to organise a birthday party for my 3yo daughter soon, and I don't know where to start!

I'm wondering about hiring a room and soft play stuff - any recommendations for central Cambridge? Or other good suggestions?

Funky Fun House?
Soft play with cafe.

www.funkyfunhouse.com/

Would be other families there and quite big.

You could also consider Cheeky Monkeys in Fulbourn which is a bit smaller than funky funhouse (might be easier to keep an eye on kids there)

If you want to do it yourself, I know people who have hired the Community centre (I think it's called) on Ross Street. Though I think we were invited a a party but didn't actually go, so I can't comment on what it's like!

For hiring soft play I think there is a company called Kreepy Krawlies that hire stuff out?

We've been to a few parties at Cheeky Monkeys, they seemed to work well

Thanks very much for the replies! We go to the soft play centres sometimes, but my daughter doesn't like crowds so I'm planning to do it myself in a smaller room :)

After posting, I discovered that the Box Cafe do kids parties, so I'm going to talk to them and find out more. Also going to get in touch with Kreepy Krawlies, I figure soft play is the best way to entertain a room of 3 year olds!

children's parties

Here's what we've got listed on our pages - Let me know what you think of where you go - as having reviews really helps.

Thanks!

We had ds's third b'day party in david lloyds and it worked well. Everyone enjoyed it and it was zero hassle - no food preparing, party bags, entertainment. The only thing we had to do was bring the cake.

If you hire a place and provide the soft play and food it will be a lot of work and a lot more expensive as well. We did that this year so I'm speaking from bitter experience!

We've been to a Box Cafe party. They have a bouncy castle and food is nice. My three year old son enjoyed it.

Don't know what your three year old is like, but mine would be bored of Kreepie Krawlies soft play in 5 mins. It's aimed more at toddlers than preschoolers, in my opinion.
