Secondary schools in/around midsomer norton

Hi all. We have the option of moving to high littleton, a village just north of midsomer norton which has a fantastic primary school, but I'm anxious about the feeder secondaries which are norton hill and writhlington. Does anyone know about these schools? What's the main differences between them? Which one is better do you think? They both have a good ofsted rating and get roughly the same on league tables. I guess I'm anxious about me picking a school that won't have very good pastoral care, or where a large proportion of the children can't be bothered with learning or are rough (sorry I know that sounds snobby but I went to a secondary school like that and it was horrendous!) I really want her to have some option of friends from like minded people.

Many thanks

In a previous role I worked with Young People who attended Writhlington, Norton Hill and Somervale they all have good/bad things to say about each. Writhlington and Norton Hill both seem to be doing well with Ofsted reports. Somervale has a good reputation locally as being more arts focused, which isn't a bad thing, though the Ofsted reports aren't as good, they are improving. Norton Hill and Somervale now share the same head teacher.

I believe that the sixth forms of Norton Hill and Somervale now have a link relationship, where students can study Level 3 qualifications at different sites.

We are in the next village over and in the catchment for all three of these, though my daughter has quite a while [she's 3] before attending these, I wouldn't have a problem with them attending any of these three, depending on their natural talents.
