Isle of Wight Meet Up

Hello everyone

I've just been invited to help MNLocal become, well, more local!

Im new to the Island, Ive been here 8 years and I live in Cowes. I have a 10 year old dd. Along with many other islanders I have a few different things keeping me busy.... I am an Ofsted registered childminder, I host and teach english to (mostly) french students, I sell Usborne Childrens Books and I'm the Area Coordinator for Sitters.co.uk

I'd love to meet up with other MNetters on the Island.

there will definately be a second meet up, for all those who missed it the first time around.

I'm just about to leave Cowes now and should be at the Sloop about 7.30.
I have a table booked for mumsnet, but I'll be wearing a white shirt with a baby blue cardi and jeans. I have mad curly (grey) hair.

It is the Sloop at Wooton Creek. The tide is out and the water is flowing from the lake into to creek. Its beautiful in the moonlight!

sorry for the slow update but i've been in bed all day with a migraine

We did meet up last night and we had a couple of drinks,a chat and a giggle. it was a bit scary becuase we hadnt met anyone before, but it was lovely to meet new friend with whom we had so much in common.

I wont post what we spoke about becuase that is up to them to share if they want to or not, but we had a fab time and we look forward to the next one.

suggestions for the next one are perhpas the George Pub in Newport, again on a Saturday or Friday night, though if you prefer in the week we could do that.

PM me with your ideas and I'll get on and organise it.
