Your local food delivery man - yes or no?

Just a light-hearted thread inspired by the lovely Tesco man who dropped off my shopping today. I was going to put it in MN HQ, but I wanted to specify where he was delivering so thought I'd stick it in here.

Firstly he asked me, in genuinely concerned tones, whether I was alright when I answered the door with onion-induced tears streaming down my cheeks. Then he very kindly herded and communicated with my toddler who saw the open door as his chance to escape the purgatory he is forced to endure living here with us Hmm

The lovely lovely Tesco man even allowed the toddler to 'help' get the shopping out and went to catch him when he bolted with the frozen raspberries.

So if Tescos ever see this - the chap you had on deliveries in Wallingford/Crowmarsh today between 4 and 5pm was a really lovely chap and deserves a big raise. Please put him on the same shift next week so I can have him again. Or that nice tall young man with lovely wavy dark hair and a cheeky smile. I'll accept him as a substitute ;)

Any of you got any delivery man stories to tell? secretly hopes for a nice, Friday night style contribution

Our Abel & Cole delivery man is a nice chap! And our postie is a dear and always leaves deliveries safely around the side of the house if he can.

That's such a nice story! In our old area the delivery men were always so lovely and understanding when I answered the door in my dressing gown with scraped back greasy hair, a toddler on my hip and a newborn in my arms. Just having them put the shopping in the kitchen made a huge difference.
