Italian tutor in North London, anyone?

I am British-born Italian and my daughter (aged 5, in year 1) has heard Italian at home from me since birth, but doesn't speak a word. She understands plenty of basic household Italian though.
I'd love her to start having Italian lessons, ideally with a play-centred approach which is suitable for her age and that won't put her off.
Can anyone recommend a good tutor they know of, ideally Italian, or does anyone already have a class running for their child which they'd consider sharing with us?
Thanks.

I know there used to be a Saturday Italian club at the Rossary School on Haverstock Hill run by an Italian mum. Not sure if it is still going, might be worth a call

Pmtea: I'm in a similar situation with a 4 year old daughter. Please let me know if you've found anyone to tutor. Perhaps we could do joint sessions...? [email protected]

Hi, I've heard good things about this company. They also have some summer classes coming up.

Hi! As a mother of bilingual children who grow up in the UK, I can only recommend to take them to Italy on holidays whenever you can where they get to play with other Italian children - I did the same for my kids who speak another European Language. It may also be useful to contact the Italian Cultural Institute www.iiclondra.esteri.it - who don't offer language courses for children but might have contacts to groups offering playgroups. And I bought loads of DVDs, audio books, read books - and took them abroad so they got to speak. Good luck!!
