Parc play... Party in December? Or somewhere else?

I am thinking about hiring parc play in mid to late December for a party. Am I mad?

Where else could I hold one, mustn't involve bond castles and plastic trikes.

They have those tent thingies with heaters in so not necessarily too cold. How old are the children you're inviting?

Hi there. All between 3 and 4 with some smaller.

Just wondering if everyone might get a bit cold as they are quite little so people won't be able to hide in the pods to keep warm? I will try and think of some alternative ideas but I love Parc so would probably just wrap up extra warm.

hmmm, yeah. If it snows too it might be a bit limiting as I guess the sandpit and outside slide would be off-limits?

There is a lovely indoor bit which I think is for under 4s which I presume would be open whatever the weather.

Thank you [Smile] DS loves going down the big slides (With me or DH) so might be sad if they are out of bounds. Hmmmm... thinking cap on. I want to avoid soft play/Leisure centre stuff but don't have the space at home for a party with friends.

The dreaded Cafe Junior? I haven't been there in years but it used to be decent. There's a cafe/play type place in Canton I believe. What about hiring a hall and getting an entertainer of some sort. Or hiring a hall and using their toddler group equipment cars, bikes etc e.g. Highfields centre in Cathays?
Some of the leisure centres do "junior" parties where you use some of their basic soft play equipment and they do the food (or they used to anyway).

on the other hand, there's still the wooden castle bit and the red tube slide inside so maybe I shouldn't talk myself out of it! I definitely need somewhere with space where there won't be fights over trikes and toys and no bouncy castle.

I feel your bouncy castle pain Grin . If I think of anything else I'll post about it. My toddler party days are gone (thankfully) but I remember them fondly (when I've had a few). Nice to chat with a Cardiff mumsnetter.

I guess Parc Ok if you just want everyone to wrap up for outdoors. We are also struggling with party ideas forsame age group in December at moment!
