Golden Triangle Norwich

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone had any advise on The Golden Triangle in Norwich, since we're considering moving and would like a traditional terraced house in a good area. We're a young family with young children and I don't drive so I thought the Golden Triangle would be good because I'm not far from everything. Looking on the Norfolk crime street there seems to be quit a big number of crimes, but the area is much more populated then where we are now. Also, is it a family place or more of a student/rental or party area? I've read there's some really good schools in the Golden Triangle which attracts me to this area. If you have any advise on this area please feel free to comment! I appreciate it, thanks.

My partner drives but he's a bit put off with parking his car on the road, is there any way I can reassure him his baby will be ok if it's not on a drive way?

Have never lived in Norwich but visit often as my parents-in-law live there. They live in the golden triangle and their house is lovely - terraced with 4 bedrooms as they bought a house with a loft extension. They have a decent sized garden at the back. They have to keep their car on the road (quite busy) but have not had any problems in the ten years they have lived there.Very handy for getting into the city.

It seems to be mostly families/couples living on the road my p-i-l live in.

It's a lovely area, and yes schools are great. Good range of people from students, young and not so young professionals! Shops are good on both Earlham Rd and Unthank Rd. Nice set of pubs too.
Having lived in a number of terrace, semi and detached in the area, all have different pros and cons. Depending on your price bracket. More character in some of the older terraces, but would check if the houses either side are owner occupier or rented. While I've always had great neighbours, lively students (and I was one) aren't always the best choice of neighbours for young families (both for them and you).
Have lived in Norwich now nearly 20yrs and always in the golden triangle, I love it!
