Hi there. I had my much longed for and lovely wee daughter last August after IVF. I' d love to meet any mums of babies who were conceived the same way. It'd be nice to chat. Be nice to meet ANY older mums, in fact. When I go to mums and tots, I feel like a granny!!!

God, that' s some illness the poor wee man has had then, if his temperature is still so high! I' m sure it's been a long week for you. Hope he enjoyed going to work with you.

Thanks for.the advice re sleep. Was at clinic today getting wee madam weighed....nurse seems to think if I can get her to eat more solids it might help. So of course I went straight to Sainsburys to stock up on baby pasta etc Smile.

Small world.....my MIL lives in Castlerock! She and FIL retired there though, they' re not natives!!! Bet it was beautiful there today.

Hope your son continues to improve.

Thanks, he's still off school and nursery today although his fever has gone way down. But it keeps doing that and then spiking again!

Solids might help, who knows? They are weird wee creatures. Grin

Hi there Tee. Hope you' re having a nice weekend, and that your son' s temperature is settling. Sounds like it' s been a long week.

Are you up to anything nice this weekend? I saw a friend this morning, and made a cake this afternoon. I love baking and cooking. What a raver, eh? Grin.

Going running with a friend in the morning...we are training for the marathon in May. Hope you' ve had a chance to do some fun things, if your son' s been up to it.

I'm having a terrible weekend, actually. Around noon yesterday my fever started. Husband got home around 3, I headed to bed. I've pretty much been there every since.

I'm glad you're having a nice one, though!

iloveitalia · 02/03/2013 21:26

Awww Tee, sorry to hear that Sad. It' s not fair! Hope you' re on the mend really soon.

Thanks! I'm much better today and my son went to school so things are going back to normal!

How's your week?

iloveitalia · 04/03/2013 21:45

Good Smile... delighted to hear that. I' m sure you will be glad to get back into some sort of a normal routine this week.

My week will consist of going to Forestside far too often, and just general catching up with friends. Have yoga and swimming tmrw, which will be lovely. Wee daughter seems to really enjoy both....and, who knows, she may even manage a nap afterwards!

What about you? I suppose you' re still quite tired after being unwell.

Yes, very tired. And now he's off school again today. Really should have kept him off yesterday, in hindsight, to give him one more day to recover.

Also making it hard to do any work!!

iloveitalia · 06/03/2013 13:12

Hi Tee. That' s rough. Are things any better today? Hope so.

Hi Italia

Sorry not been around, trying to catch up after the weeks of plague! Husband has a bit now too so things are a bit fraught around here!

I am feeling better, thanks, and so is son. Except I want to sleep for about a year!!

How are you?

iloveitalia · 10/03/2013 21:26

Hi there Tee, hope your husband' s a bit better now, and that you' ve had a nice Mother' s Day. Did you do anything special? We were in Belfast seeing my mum, and just back from Castlerock where we were visiting my MIL.
Do you miss your family in the States? And do you miss anything else?
You will be glad to get back to normal this coming week, I'm sure Smile.

Sounds like a lovely weekend, Italia. Smile

Mine was very quiet as we were all still recovering. Husband and I are still sniffing and sneezing, small boy seems fully recovered.

Not sure how normal this week has been though... Grin

Hi I am an older mum 39 and would like to meet other mums. I have been doing the baby massage in south belfast which was great and my wee boy loved it he is just over 3 months but looking now for a mothers and baby group in south belfast and to go with another mum would be great.

EvaRose665 · 21/03/2013 22:30

Hi can I ask where do you take your little one to the swimming?. My little boy is just over 3 months and I would like to start swimming next in a supervised group somewhere in south belfast would suit as I am an urban driver. Thanks

Tee2072a · 22/03/2013 08:38

Hi eva! So glad to meet another of us oldies!!

Never took my son to baby groups or swimming, so can't help there, sorry!

I am in South Belfast as well though. Grin

iloveitalia · 25/03/2013 15:13

Hi Eva. Smile....was beginning to think that Tee and I were the only older mumsnetters around here!

Congratulations on the birth of your son. Hope all is going well for you both?

We go to swimming lessons every Tues afternoon at the Robinson Centre....really recommend them. The classes are small, so your baby gets plenty of attention, and the teacher' s lovely.

I go to a parent and toddlers group most Friday mornings on the Rosetta Rd- not exactly South Belfast, I know- it's pretty friendly and they do lovely scones for the parentsGrin.

Let me know if you fancy joining me some time.

Anyone still about? Good Easter?

Tee2072a · 26/05/2013 07:53

If anyone missed it, we're having a meet up next Friday at Ground on the top floor of Next at 1030!
