I have home-made gingerbread men with wobbly Ribena icing if anyone wants to join me?

Have to admit it will be nice to wake up feeling nice and drifty instead of thinking 'bloody hell, is it time to get up already?' Grin

MudcakedBoots · 05/01/2013 11:27

Hi, thanks for directing me over here croc! I can't make a meet up on the 17th but if you meet up again in future then let me know - I'm a new mum living in Milton and currently on maternity leave. Good luck with the op becketts.

Crocvillagemum · 05/01/2013 22:02

joandro, if you're coming in via the busway I could always pick you up from the St Ives P&R if that helps? I will have a toddler car seat free as DS will be in nursery.

OP posts:
JoandRo · 06/01/2013 14:00

Ooh that's really kind of you. Tell you what, I'm trying to find out now what the buses are like, as it would be great if I could get there with her on my own (as she loves the pets etc). If it turns out to be a hideous nightmare then I will come crawling get in touch. Is that ok?

Crocvillagemum · 06/01/2013 21:40

Sure!

OP posts:
Becketts · 12/01/2013 12:53

I have seen so many people on chat etc over the last few days say that they live in Cambridgeshire. Shall I do a spreadsheet? Grin

Anyway, the 17th is still fine for me. How about everyone else?

Crocvillagemum · 12/01/2013 21:22

Yep, still game on here for 17th. What time? Guess it depends on joandro's buses.

Becketts · 13/01/2013 07:46

Dunno, are we doing coffee or lunch? I can be there any time but have a hospital appt in Peterborough at 3.30.

Crocvillagemum · 13/01/2013 23:09

How about late coffee and/or early lunch at 11.30 - 12? Should give you plenty of time to get to P'boro.

Crocvillagemum · 13/01/2013 23:15

And how will we know each other? I don't have a Mumsnet scarf, Fly knee boots or a North Face gilet. Probably best for you to look out for the haggard thirtysomething with short brown hair and a female baby (Micralite buggy). Possibly wearing long North Face coat with furry collar. (And maybe knee-high DMs.)

OP posts:
Becketts · 14/01/2013 07:53

I have a black North Face parka, I'll wear that. I also have DMs and no mumsnet scarf. Will have both the DDs, 4yo and almost 2yo. I'm early 30s, long, dark hair, knackered-looking Grin

Shall we aim for a table in the corner near where the toys are?

Crocvillagemum · 14/01/2013 20:18

Sounds good. See you there.

OP posts:
JoandRo · 16/01/2013 11:33

oh crap, this wasn't coming up in my active conversations so I had assumed nobody had written on it. Argh.

DD is ill, has been vomiting all night - she did seem ok this morning but has just thrown up all over her dad dodged a bullet there so I think we are going to have to give tomorrow a miss. Unless you fancy a bit of vomiting? I'm really disappointed.

I had figured out that I could get the guided busway to Hartford Marina and I think it's possible to walk back to HG&L through the Marina and then crossing the road - so could do again if you fancy it, some time soon?

Hope you have a good time; Becketts hope the appointment goes well tomorrow.

Becketts · 16/01/2013 18:05

Right, are we still on then? Think it's just the two of us, Crocvillagemum.

JoandRo · 16/01/2013 20:18

I am so jealous. Please have some cake and think of me covered in vomit watching yet another episode of Maisy sodding Mouse.

Crocvillagemum · 16/01/2013 21:11

I'm still on for it! Sorry to hear you're in the middle of the Barfchester Chronicles, joandro. A touch of norovirus, perhaps? Grim. Hope she gets better soon.

OP posts:
JoandRo · 18/01/2013 21:42

how did it go? Did you meet up?

Crocvillagemum · 19/01/2013 20:26

Yup! Twas very pleasant and hopefully becketts agrees! Planning to do it again vaguely soon. How is your house move coming on?

OP posts:
Crocvillagemum · 19/01/2013 20:27

And has your DD stopped hurling?

OP posts:
Becketts · 20/01/2013 08:46

Croc, didn't you get my PM saying that I hated you and never wanted to see you again? Wink

Yes, we had a lovely time, too bad your DD was ill Jo- hope she's feeling better soon!

JoandRo · 20/01/2013 20:21

Ah, ace, glad it was good and I hope I will be allowed to join in if you do it again even though I was crap this time.

DD is fine; well, she's got a cold now, but she isn't vomiting. In fact, she hardly threw up after I posted. I did think about bringing her along anyway so you could start an AIBU about me bringing a just-stopped-puking toddler along to infect your kids.

Becketts · 20/01/2013 21:00

I don't think I will ever, ever start a thread in AIBU. Grin

Crocvillagemum · 21/01/2013 11:59

I did once start a thread in AIBU. It came out 50:50 but I still bear the scars from the dissenting 50%!

Right, am off to harness my huskies the cats to DS's plastic toboggan in an effort to get out of my driveway.

OP posts:
Becketts · 21/01/2013 12:28

I got a flaming once just for a throwaway jokey comment (it wasn't inappropriate!), I only comment now if it's something really safe like a disabled parking thread.

Crocvillagemum · 21/01/2013 14:03

There was one recently about SEN, where I genuinely wanted to ask some questions (as someone with no experience whatever of SEN) but it was all kicking off and I didn't fancy having someone rip me a new one. Better to sit back and watch others catching it, Christians-to-lions-stylee.
