Following on from the Midlands thread, there were quite a few Worcs people interested in meeting up. I think we're set on the Hive, and 25th/26th Sept are out. So how about 27th/28th/29th Sept?

first names then nicknames. its easy.

Sparklingbrook · 28/09/2012 15:28

I may one day pluck up the courage.

MrsBucketxx · 28/09/2012 15:31

i would love to do another maybe not with dc in tow next time.

id love to meet you sparkling.

stealthsquiggle · 28/09/2012 16:22

Your DC were both angelic, MrsB. Good thing suze knew about that room - overcrowded cafe would have been no fun at all for them.

Thanks for the snuggle, baby bunny, BTW!

Sparklingbrook · 28/09/2012 16:27

Oooh I don't know MrsB, there was a thread yesterday and someone imagined I looked like the Timotei girl and I don't. I would disappoint. Grin

Tell me about the secret room. I still haven't made it into the golden library. Sad

Happybunny12 · 28/09/2012 16:43

Ha ha @ secret room in the golden library. Sounds all mystical and wizardy. Appropriate to have Hermione Granger with us!

NorksAreMessy · 28/09/2012 19:07

Soooo, tell me all about it!
I missed the whole thing (stupid lovely holiday with stupid lovely DH in stupid delicious France)

How many poeople went, what happened, who is lovelier than you thought?

What did I miss?????

Sparklingbrook · 28/09/2012 19:10

They went in a secret room in the golden library Norks. Shock

NorksAreMessy · 28/09/2012 19:25

And...........

Sparklingbrook · 28/09/2012 19:26

That's all the info that has been revealed Norks. Sad

Mrscog · 28/09/2012 19:51

Ok - there were.....7 (I think) of us: me, MrsBucketxx, suze28, stealthsquiggle, hermioniejgranger, happybunny12, no that's 6... ok so there were 6 of us, now worrying I missed someone.... if I did SORRY!

We met at the cafe entrance, it was crazy as the baby group (entitled Bump and Grind (!?!) ) had just finished, so before finding suze I wondered around the coffee shop looking expectantly at people with pushchairs and I think they thought I was mad! We assembled, and then it was suggested that we went to the 'secret room' which is in the children's library to sit and chat, which we did, we introduced ourselves by mn name and then real name, and talked about... all sorts - work, schools, childcare, moving house, boots (footwear not the shop) etc.

It was great, I had a really good time, and mrsbucketxx your toddlers were lovely and so well behaved.

I really really hope there's another meet up - maybe we could try and do one for when full time work people can make it :)

Is that more detail? I have to say, I would be very excited to meet such prolific mners such as sparkling and norks :)

Hooray, so glad you had fun!
I would LOVE to come to the next palaver, especially if I could meet all you lovely lovely women.
Whoever is in charge PLEASE invite me to a (Saturday???) meet up

suze28 · 28/09/2012 21:05

Ladies, thank you so much for a lovely meet up. I so enjoyed it.

hermionejgranger · 03/10/2012 19:37

Late late late posting...sorry ladies! It was really lovely to meet some local MNers. We talked about FB too - if anyone wants to add me send me a PM and I'll link you to my profile. :D

ClungebobSparepants · 17/10/2012 08:00

Ok, I'm late to the party, but can I be in your group please? I live in central Worcester, have a 3 year old DS and we seem to spend most of our lives in the Hive these days. One day I will make it up to the hallowed 3rd floor if I can shake him off somehow. Having met lots of MNers last week at the Ancient Rome course, I'd love to meet some more.

Mrscogg · 08/11/2012 19:51

Hi clunge yes of course you can :) I've emailed MNHQ re being a meet up organiser :)

WomanoftheWoo · 15/11/2012 10:19

Just trying out my new local nickname...

WomanoftheWoo · 15/11/2012 10:20

I was on this thread but I dodn't make it to the meet up... just marking my place for the next one!

WomanoftheWoo · 15/11/2012 10:20

*didn't

WorcsCountryMouse · 15/11/2012 10:25

Local nicknames. That's going to be confusing, and yet useful, as I can say where I am without telling the whole of MN Grin

Anyone in the Abberley area (that's about 4 miles from us, but a positive metropolis compared to anywhere closer)?

WomanoftheWoo · 15/11/2012 10:27

Oh I love Abberley. We spent two nights of our honeymoon at The Elms.

WorcsCountryMouse · 15/11/2012 10:31

LOL. I very occasionally go to the Elms for coffee.

LyppardLovely · 26/11/2012 19:21

ooooohhhh - I LOVE The Elms - had our Wedding Reception there!

mrsbucketxox · 26/11/2012 19:26

stupid question where abouts is abberly,

looking to move soon and there are some lovely houses there.

Spolognese · 30/11/2012 17:28

Hi all
Very very late to this thread but would love to join you for your next meet up. I'm in Worcester and have two DC, aged 5 and 3. I need to extend my social boundaries beyond the school gate!
