meet to arrange

Hi all,

So going off the 'real life friends - or lack of' Ive decided to arrange a meet for us local to derby who dont have any RL friends

open to all, we need to arrange a date suitable for all no mean task at all then a place who can put up with lots of ranting adults and time.

So what are people like for availability.

and sits comfortably to see what people put

What time are we meeting??

I think we set 2pm, is that still ok for everyone?

Am still aiming to be at the bottom car park next to the sports field and garages. We can then walk to other car park or just wonder around looking for others who are standing/walking around looking equially as muppety as me.

How many people are bringing children?

I'll just be bringing DD, DS is going to have some "lads time" with DH.

Ok I still think I may get lost! Had a look at the website and found the following info:

?Darley Park Drive car park: Sat Nav. DE22 1EN (off Duffield Road A6 opposite the Broadway Pub)
?Darley Street car park: Sat Nav. DE22 1DX (opposite the Abbey Pub)
?City Road car park: Sat Nav. DE1 3RP (next to Parkers Piece)
?Old Chester Road car park: Sat Nav. DE1 3SA (next to Darley Fields)

Could someone confirm which car park is the right one?

will have a look at google earth and confirm for you hun :)

OK none of them will put you in the right car park but the first one was closest, it takes you to the other car park where some might end up so if you do end up there.... dont panic.

If you type DE22 1DX that puts you on the right street, the car park is in the bottom corner and if you miss it one way you can turn the car around and head back and see it.

Yay we made it and we hung around looking suitably nervous/idiotic... It was fun trying to walk upto one another and ask if we were there for the meet and hopefully not die of embarrasment asking the wrong people {we got the right people}

Headed to the park to let the DCs terrorrise burn off steam while we got to know one another, then it was time for drinks and snacks {or in my case what felt like a three course meal! very good value} more nattering time till rain halted play.

It was lovely meeting you all Kowalski, Puds11, Arion and Pink10 hopefully I didnt chew your ears off with my constant chatter {have missed adult company, could you tell?} and look forward to the next one :)
