I know about/can easily find out about all the big parks - Victoria/Tollcross/Barshaw/Queens park etc. But I mean the smaller ones where you could go for about an hour or so. Ones that maybe are hidden away and you won't find on google.

I will list some of ones I know and add to the directory. Can you help me? Love visiting new parks, just for a wee change. Also worth noting if coffee shops/toilets etc nearby.

Not to far from you giraffes is Norby Park behind Crow Rd in Broomhill.I love it small and flat paths for scooters/bikes. No loos but got picnic tables.

Bellahouston is underrated. Ski centre, good park, house of an art lover, gorgois cafe, walled garden. Brilliant for sledging!
Pollock has a fantastic park next to Burrell collection and great cafe.
Love the happy park next to Belhaven nursery. Have spent hours in there and close to the north star cafe!

Barshaw Park - kids of all ages love it, there is a cafe, though haven't got anything from it so can't comment on the grub.

There are toilets and even little animals for the wee ones to look at.

I know they use to have a little train running round it in the summer (not sure if it runs every summer).

Sorry , just read your bit about the big parks. Blush

Ruchill park is often empty on a sunny morning yet it has fabulous views, play equipment and a flagpole. Only downside is the empty White Lightning and Buckie bottles rubbish but it's worth an hour or two...

Also Dunard St play park - frayed around the edges but a good play park nonetheless with football/ basketball court and Jaconellis for ice cream across the road.
