Richmond Primary Schools Waiting Lists

Has anyone had any luck getting through to the admissions team to find out where their child is on the waiting list yet? I've called twice now and keep getting the automated message that they anticipated the waiting lists would be available from the 10 May.

I know they must be up to their eyeballs but it would be quite nice to speak to a real person!

pastmyprime, I reckon you're in with a good chance with an intake of 90 of 7 places coming up.

BayJay2, thanks for the tips - off to look at that now. I do have strong opinions about the current system and how people manipulate it but that is probably for another thread and only so much time and energy I can expend on that! I'm in Barnes/mortlake - if there was a bulge class in any if the 3 local community schools, I'd get a place so here is hoping. I know they have to offer me something in the end, just not sure how a place is magicked up. Technically I suppose I could be offered Darell which is the nearest school which currently has places but council hasn't mentioned it and it must be over 2 miles away. I know nothing about it and is well outside my local area so isn't particularly attractive for me.

Hi kittybloom....ill be interested in how you get on as im in mortlake/barnes too and will be going through the process next year for my son. Even with Thomson House looks like we are slightly off catchment for all the nearby schools....so annoying as they are so close
