I checked couldn't find any vouchers for Feb, most end in jan or only valid Sun-thurs Sad

Richmond easier for me but happy to go with flow, birthday girls can decide!

Sushi - that is bad timing re: hrs, hope you are surviving. Terrible news about your friend Shock

Kewcumber · 12/01/2012 14:50

any suggestiond for Richmond then - I'm keen to do something cheaper if possible as Nov, Dec and Jan were expensive months!

I usually get vouchers for Pizza express and a few others depending on the week, the only reason I suggested The Botanist is that the music is not deafening (old gimmer) and we can be nice and private ish at the back in nice comfy niche, and I can stagger home afterwards Grin

UptoapointLordCopper · 12/01/2012 16:49

Please a place with not-too-loud music too! I think last time we went to Pizza Express I learned to lip-read. Grin

Kewcumber · 12/01/2012 20:23

was just thining that starter plus main wil come to $15 - £20 without any drinks of pudding and I was hoping for less.

How about Rustica in Richmond if Pizza express is too noisy?

OP posts:
sfxmum · 12/01/2012 20:49

rustica fine by me especially if seated upstairs

vbus · 13/01/2012 13:46

Just a thought, you are welcome to mine (bring a dish/drink type affair) if you want to? Will make it relaxed, cheap and can be combined birthday and kitchen warming party Grin Let me know if you'd like to do that then I'll boot DH out for the night, otherwise pizza rustica fine by me

Kewcumber · 13/01/2012 20:43

I'm easy vbus (as I can drive me and the three other kew-ites) - don't think Tilly and Copper will find it easy to get to your's though...?

OP posts:
islandhaze · 13/01/2012 21:49

I can pick up three lovely ladies too :)

sfxmum · 13/01/2012 21:54

I am fine with that and if so we should co ordinate dishes, otherwise it will be all puddings and booze Grin

Kewcumber · 13/01/2012 22:52

can I make something that uses a new mixer?

OP posts:
UptoapointLordCopper · 14/01/2012 09:36

I can get to Kew if some nice person could give me a lift, or I could drive there.

I can make savoury dish - perhaps chinese-style cold meat or something. After all still Chinese New Year.

Kewcumber · 14/01/2012 11:00

Sounds like between island and I, we can get everyone over to vbus's who needs a lift.

Are we all game for a kitchen warming/birthday/chinese new year at vbus's then?

OP posts:
Kora · 14/01/2012 16:33

Sounds fab. Smile

UptoapointLordCopper · 15/01/2012 12:53

I don't have IslandHaze's contact details. Can someone send her my email? Getting a bit cautious about posting email address, though used to do it willy nilly ... Hmm

sfxmum · 15/01/2012 13:37

copper you can message the poster directly via button on message box, on the right

UptoapointLordCopper · 15/01/2012 13:47

Ooo! I forgot about that! Will do so immediately.

vbus · 15/01/2012 13:48

Great Smile I'll have a think about what we need and maybe people can choose something to bring

SushiMummy · 15/01/2012 15:01

Thanks vbus! And yes please to the lift offer. Ta

islandhaze · 15/01/2012 15:05

Copper, of course i will pick you up. If anyone else needs a ride please, there is 2 more places to fill in ;)

I can do some danish potato salad (smth like german) :)

Kewcumber · 15/01/2012 15:18

Can I bring pavlova? Happy to make some bread if anyone wants it. non-drinker so happy with water here!

OP posts:
UptoapointLordCopper · 15/01/2012 16:03

Is anyone vegetarian or allergic to beef and eggs?

UptoapointLordCopper · 15/01/2012 16:04

Can't imagine anyone saying no to pavlova ...

sfxmum · 15/01/2012 17:07

it all sounds great no allergies and not really fussy, any suggestions about what I might bring? what are we lacking? should I bring leaf salads? some other dish?

vbus · 15/01/2012 18:24

I think there are 8 of us so maybe we could each do one of the following (just add your name/dish below)

2 starters
vbus - I'll make some samosas
another starter anyone??

3 mains to share + 1 salad dish
Copper - beef/egg dish!?
Island - potato salad

2 Desserts
Kew - pavlova
fruits - ?

Drinks - I'll get some juices, how many people drinking wine?
