SECC

I am going there next Sunday night from Edinburgh for a concert. It will probably finish about 10pm. There is no Happybus that could take me through Sad

Can anyone advise the best way to get there? Train or car? Or advise on where best to park?

Many thanks!

If you go b train there is a station right outside the SECC, leaves from the low level at Glasgow Central, although I would check finishing times etc for Sunday nights as could be earlier than normal. The trains are quite frequent as I remember, as it's the first stop after Central station. It's also not that bad a walk into the town centre from there, well, maybe about 30 or so minutes. There is masses of parking within the SECC car parks too, although you have to pay for it, and can be queueing for a fair old while to get out.

Whenever we go, we generally park at the other side of the tunnel to the Secc, in Finneston, which is just on road parking. Usually easy enough to get spaces there. You can get to it by either the expressway, following the signs for Finneston/SECC or by heading out of the city westwards, following Bath Street over the motorway at Charing Cross.

Check First Scotrail website for train times. I'm sure you'll be able to get one.

You can park at the SECC, but it's a ridiculous system. You pay on the way out, and there's usually one person and thousands of cars. I've literally spent hours in the exit queue. You can get a train to queen st, then walk to Central low level and get the train right there. Again, if it's a big concert, there's a queuing system at the station.

If you're driving, I'd park on the street near Kelvingrove and just walk over, TBH.

You could drive to Uddingston and get the train from there?
