Hi, sorry second post in as many days!

Does anyone have any experience of these schools with regard to special needs? My son is 7 and dyslexic. He is doing amazingly well at his present school and has a one-to-one class once a week after school.

I was just hoping someone could shed some light?

From looking at the Prospectus's St.Luke's seems to be the most informed?!

Carlton hill is best for EVERYTHING, its a wonderful little school, I cant recommend it enough & they are great with any kind of SN, teachers & head really care about the kids & they also involve other DCs in helping mentor any DCs struggling with learning - it also never fails to amaze me that the head can call all the kids by name, shes a real gem, as many if not all of the staff are :)

I should add - its a few years ago now since we had to find a School for DD, but didn't choose QP, even though on paper it was best at the time, because our friends DD had major bullying problems which weren't addressed properly - I have heard the same with other DCs too - our friend moved rather put her younger DD there

St Lukes again at the time of checking I did hear a bit of a horror story in that whilst we were looking, as was one of DDs nursery friends, as member of staff commented to another parent that he could spot the ones that would do well & those who would fail in meeting them reception class - great if you have bright DCs, but a bit of a worry if you don't - our DCs were both seen as bright & able at the time, but it put us right off - may be different now though

I wld second Carlton Hill, my son (6) loves it there and altho he doesn't have SN there is lots of support.
Having said that I have friends with kids at St Lukes who LOVE it (and they struggled with reading too).
Can't vouch for QP.
Rockinhippy what year is your DC in?
