Birth & Postnatal care at The Rosie, Cambridge

I'm at 30 weeks and have read a lot about expecting very little from postnatal care on the NHS, because of understaffing generally I think.

Can anyone please share their experiences of giving birth and their postnatal care at The Rosie in Cambridge? Negative, postive?

(I found another thread asking the same thing but this was back in 2009).

Thanks very much!

Hi there,

I gave birth there in Oct 2011, in the midwife-led birthing centre, and the care was excellent. It was my first time and I felt very safe and cared for. My midwife stayed with me the whole time and popped in to visit me the next day too. Currently there is only 1 birthing pool there, and it was being used at the time, so I missed out. But with the new unit being built, I believe there are lots of great new facilities.

I personally couldn't fault it and feel confident to have my next one there xx
