Please does anyone have a child in this school or know about it. It seems to be a fairly new school and i cant get hold of its ofsted report.
Though i dont go by ofsted reports.
Can anyone that know about this school, kindly let me know what they think. Thank you.

my dc's go here and are really happy.

the reason there is no ofsted report is that the school hasn't yet been open for two years and hasn't had it's first ofsted yet.

i'm really impressed with the school - at the moment it is still really small (think there are about 130 pupils) although has had a full reception intake this year and will do until it reaches capacity in about 5/6 years time.

it has a real community feel and all the children appear happy and engaged with all the activities I've had the opportunity to get involved with. there seems to be a good level of discipline and there appears to be a high level of respect from the pupils to the staff and vice versa. they seem very child led and don't appear to put the children under any pressure - my experience is that the school allows the children to develop at their own pace. usual reading and weekly (optional) homework task.

obviously as its a brand new school the facilities are really good - state of the art eco-friendly building - new books etc.

lots of outings and support from the pta - ie last year the pta funded a trip to the pantomime. wide range of after school/lunch clubs as well. reception children also get to take part in forest schools as highwoods are only across the road.

the only down side is that is that the school is sited on a housing development which is still being built on so it is a bit of a nightmare trying to navigate past diggers - that won't last for long tho as the houses are going up pretty quickly. driving/parking near the school is a bit of a nightmare -we walk to school so it doesn't really bother us.

hth's?

Thank you moksnana, you have given me enough details to inform an opinion. Great to hear that the kids are really happy and there is a community feel to the school.
I will definitely put it down as one of the choices for my daughter.
It could be difficult attimes to get first hand information about schools, especially when you are not local yet.
