Charity bins in Richmond

Hi All

We've just moved into our new place and seem to have carted a ton of unneccessary stuff halfway around the world from Malaysia. We've moved from a 3000 square foot apartment into a house half the size and are suffering for it!
Our bed won't fit up the stairs and we have tons of old clothes and baby gear to give away or sell. Can anyone tell me where the nearest charity bins are located - we're in The Vineyard at the bottom of Richmond Hill.

We have a fridge, washer, dryer, baby cot, change table, well-used McLaren umbrella-style stroller and 3-wheel Mountain Buggy stroller (with bassinet attachment)to sell if anyone's interested!

Many thanks for any suggestions.

Congrats on your move!

Sorry I don't know nearest bins to you but you could try putting it on freecycle, people who want your stuff will come and collect it from you. Just google and register, it's free

Hi

Baby gear, children's clothes, toys, books etc - sell it at the next NCT nearly new sale on 7th May. Email [email protected] for details. Alternatively if you just want rid post it on the local NCT Facebook page (nb you can't sell it this way but you can gift it) www.facebook.com/richmondnct

Adult clothes - The Vineyard project have a charity shop and work with the homeless at The Vineyard Church (so you can't get closer!) and they'll be very grateful. I think they have a website too if you google.

There's also a charity furniture scheme based in Twickenham that you can donate to. And British Heart Foundation take electricals.

You can find clothing bins for Salvation Army in The Old Deer Park car park.

If there are things you want to keep you'll find Big Yellow on Mortlake Rd helpful and not too expensive.

Thanks so much for all those suggestions. Now I can get cracking and clear some space for the stuff that we actually use on a daily basis! Isn't it amazing how much junk you bring with you in a move? I thought we'd been really ruthless and binned or gifted so much when we left Kuala Lumpur. Foolish woman!
