Things to do with DC1 when DC2 arrives...

Howdy. DC2 is on the way meaning that I'll be spending significantly more time with DC1, whilst DW takes care of the newborn. Basically, I just want suggestions for things I can do with a 2-yr old girl in Bristol that will be fun. Already do quite a bit: Museum, Zoo, parks, the entirety of Glos Rd etc etc, but I figure that everyone has their 'fall-back' activities that they do with their kids when they need to get out the house and figured I'd ask you to share them so as to get a bit more variety into DD's entertainment. Basically want to make it an exciting time for her rather than a time when she is feeling marginalised and suddenly having to share attention. Obvs we'll still be doing family stuff as well. Oh, and not really looking for 'Dad specific' stuff. Cheers.

Does dc1 like animals ? There are City Farms at Windmill hill and St. Werburghs (free entry but plenty going on for young children).
Have you been to Horseworld in Whitchurch ? Entry for unders 3s is free and there is a good play area, cafe and chance to groom the horses.
Local libraries also often run activities for young children.
Hope that helps and let us know how you get on!

Cairns Road stay and play sessions? Other playgroup type activities. Swimming. Soft play at leisure centres.

I used to tour the parks, the weather will start to get warmer soon and there is a massive variety. The sandpit at eastville park is good for toddlers, and the park in Oldbury Court is excellent too (can't remember what it's actually called, you'll have to google).

A walk from Snuff Mills is a good time killer, and you can paddle in the river if you wear wellies - take a fishing net for extra fun.

Cheers all. Familiar with quite a few of these but didn't realise there was soft play at Leisure Centres (which ones?) and hadn't really thought about a walk from Snuff Mills. Actually pretty easy to get to from where we are so will pop that on the list. Had forgotten about Horseworld as well. Thanks.
