Hello,

Can I join too?

Southampton mum with 1 DS of 9 months. SAHM at the moment while I study.

Really hoping for this sunny weather to last as it's so much easier to find things to do out and about. Indoors is getting very boring!

Shares Biscuit

LesbianMummy1 · 09/03/2011 10:53

Hi TheSkiingGardener welcome glad you found us. What are you studying? Don't normally like biscuits but as I have been stuck in with ds2 again for a week and feel like a prisoner I will gladly accept here have a Brew to dunk yours in

TheSkiingGardener · 09/03/2011 11:14

Thank you kindly. Studying Psychotherapy for 5 years part time so hopefully once the kids are at school I can build a practice. All good fun but essays are a killer when DS decides to be ill all he time lately!

I didn't realise how stir crazy you could go in your own house!

LesbianMummy1 · 09/03/2011 12:11

sounds very familiar I have been stuck here since last Friday and it is sooooo boooorrrriiinnnngggg

I can't believe how many times I have wished I was at work Confused hope your ds is not too ill think it must be time for another Brew

TheSkiingGardener · 09/03/2011 12:25

How much longer are you stuck in for? I would be marking off the days on the walls!

DS had a hatrick last week, chest infection, ear infection and oral thrush. The doctor looked at me as if I was an awful mother to allow him to get so much at once! Then we were getting better until this Monday when I went for a shower and came back to find him covered in spots. Dad hadn't noticed!

Spots all gone now but I keep wondering what's next.

Might head out for a walk in a bit, before it clouds over completely.

LesbianMummy1 · 09/03/2011 12:33

Oh dear I sympathise. my ds managed to have triple infections when born then spent 18 months constantly ill. I got to the point where i could phone the doctors and just say his first name and they knew him.

OP posts:
Kryshees · 09/03/2011 12:54

I'll be smug and tell you that dd has only had antiboitics once...its possible I've just not realised she's been ill....ekk bad mom!

blimey triple infections @LM1 :( Horrible. poor mite double :(

Brew anyone? I have cupcakes cooking

LesbianMummy1 · 09/03/2011 13:17

ooh yes please Kryshees I am afraid ds2 has had approx 100 courses of antibiotics

OP posts:
TheSkiingGardener · 09/03/2011 14:04

I didn't realise DS was that ill to be honest. He wasn't making any fuss, just a cold and pulling on his ear very occasionally. We mainly went because of the thrush in his mouth!

Your poor DS LM1, hope he starts a good healthy streak soon.

Cupcakes sound good, I haven't baked for a few weeks, might do some tomorrow now you've made me hungry Kryshees

Kryshees · 09/03/2011 14:31

Have you heard of Cakepops??? Google it for images....we made some the other day!!! OMG divine!
