She is 6.7yo and has been waiting (im)patiently for the last 2 years as all of her friends have lost their first teeth.

German speakers, you know how important this is to the DCs, much more so than in UK I think.

Today she said her mouth is sore, and after some investigation we discovered that she has a loose tooth. She is looking very happy, like this

In fact, she wants to make a smileyhalloweenface on Mama's 'puter. So, just for DD

Wobbly bump with another as she is sooooo happy

Maybe that is why she has been so grumpy and miserable the last few days

Hooray!!! Bless her

finknottle · 27/10/2008 16:27

Good for her - my d is 6.2 & not a wackel in sight, not for lack of wishful thinking & poking. The boys were well into the 1.Klasse as well.

I used to give 1 euro for the 1st tooth and set a rate of 50 cents when they were falling out left right & centre but never seemed to have 50c so usually is 1 euro.

I must consult the wisdom (no pun intended) of MN to find out the going rate for the Zahnfee. 1euro, so I could do 1chf, that is about 50p. Is that ok?

we did 1 chf.

hia. boys on holiday now, so busy, no free time.went swiming today. into town tomorrow - art gallery or museum. hope all well. I like the eraly dark night

BriocheDoree · 27/10/2008 19:22

I was going to ask who it is that takes away teeth in Germany but I see that it is a Zahnfee. In France it's a souris (mouse). Don't know what this is about and it gets quite confusing for a few mixed couples I know...you know, Mum says the fairy will take your tooth and Dad says the mouse will take your tooth...
Congratulations to your DD on such an important milestone

We did one euro here.
Dd´s first tooth wobbled for ages before falling out, but one bite of a cruncy apple and it came out. Just a tip in case your dd gets fed up of the wobbling and wants to see the money .

Fantastisch!

MmeTussaudsChmberOfChocHobnobs · 28/10/2008 06:49

Oh, Brioche, we are in the French speaking part of Switzerland, I wonder if the Zahnfee comes here or the mouse. Must ask in school.

The tooth is still wobbly. I have been told to tell her teacher today. She was worried that the tooth would come out in her sleep.
