more specifically, living in the US?

I dislike the fact that I can't think of 1 good thing to say about being here and that I remember the UK being a perfect place to which I want to return. I know it has it's faults but what are they?

And what is wonderful about the USA?

Living abroad really does make you appreciate the UK (well it has me anyway). I move home next week and I am really looking forward to it. Have had a great time abroad but I want to live in the UK.

For me I miss the seasons, customer service, quality of merchandise, food choice and quality - probably very different things to what you would miss if you lived in the USA.

I now have a list of good things.. Please feel free to add:

US in general

Fall
Halloween being a lovely occasion
Cheap(ish) petrol, no car tax or MOTs
Trader Joes & Whole Foods
Target
Being on the highway and seeing a sign for a city which is hundreds, if not thousands, of miles away (here, I see signs for Detroit, Toledo, Memphis, St Louis and Milwaukee)
a very productive growing season - I have grown more in my tiny little allotment here than I ever managed in England
Apple Orchards, hayrides
Snow/ sledding
DS sitting on Santa's knee
Amazing skyscapes
Eating out is cheap
Breakfast/ brunch (especially French Toast)!
The belief that anything is possible (I stole that from MadameDeathstare)
Modern hospitals with no waitng lists
No-one seems to care what anyone else looks like

My city
Living in a fabulous city, not far from the beach (granted it isn't a nice beach, but it has sand and water...) with amazing (and free) museums, zoos, parks
My little neighbourhood
