Anyone live in the Malaga/Fuengirola region - I have a delicate question

When we were in Spain a few weeks ago our transfer from the airport took us past an accident that had not long happened. Police were there but no ambulance yet.

I keep thinking about the person involved (well there may have been more than one but it's the one I saw that I keep having "flashbacks" about).

I tried googling the next day and since being back but can't find anything (which I'm hoping is a good sign).

It happened on the evening of 5th September between 8-9pm, location was the road from Malaga heading towards Estepona around (I think) the area where the AP-7 and A7 split/merge. It involved a motorcyclist.

I'm hoping that someone who lives around there knows the right news sites or whatever to search but I want to know if he survived - strange I know, but what we saw was horrific and keeps crossing my mind and I'm hoping that if I know the outcome (which I'm desperately hoping is positive) then I'll stop thinking about it. Although the injuries were awful and life changing he could have survived.

I remember having a very strange reaction that actually kind of shocked me. Someone close to me had a near fatal accident which I didn't witness. A week or so later, One of the people who did witness it came round at about 8.30am and started asking lots of questions about how the person was doing. I don't know why but it made me feel angry. Like they were trying to make it all about them.

It might be because I witnessed a man committing suicide in front of a train when I was four. It might have triggered my PTSD from that.

Seems a bit ghoulish to me, do you honestly think you’ll feel “better” if you find out they’re dead?

I agree.

My relative died in a car crash. It was devastating for us as his family and for his friends The last thing we wanted was people who had nothing to do with it and didn’t know our family being nosy. You don’t need closure because it’s nothing to do with you.

I’m saying that because i don’t understand what you think finding out the worst will achieve.

RTA are unfortunately a part of everyday life, you’re trying to make out you’re all worried and compassionate but it’s just another form of rubbernecking.

I agree. We lost a loved one in an RTA and just wanted privacy. I hate it when people make things like this about themselves, pretending they’re concerned, but there is no real thought for the person or family, not really.
