Visa/living options abroad for uk woman with Belgian partner

Hey all,
I'd love any help or support with understanding what, if any, options I have with my Belgian partner in terms of being/living in Europe.
I’m aware of study visas, work visas, non lucrative visas and visas if we’re married.
But, until that point, do any of you have any info on other options for partners in this position?
is there anything that’s not the 90 day visa but also not the others I’ve listed, an in between option?
Curious to hear your thoughts and understanding.
Thank you,
Sophie

In Switzerland some cantons have a concubine residence permit. Not sure of the exact rules but you can get a permit as the partner if you can prove you’ve been together for x no of years. Your partner would probably need to find a job there first though

Can you not ask your partner to find out? In France, people who are ´pacsé’ with the EU national can usually get a visa as they’re treated as being sponsoriséd by their partner, similar to that of a spouse. Each EU country has its own set of rules, so you’d need to research Belgium.

If you are living with your partner and he intends to exercise his right to work or study in any EU country other than Belgium you are fine - you can go along as his family member, with the right to work.

If you move to Belgium you will have to follow whatever Belgian law says, which may be harder.

Thanks @Oriunda great info. I really appreciate it 🙏🏽

You might find the information here for easy to follow: Residence rights abroad in the EU for other relatives - Your Europe
Unless you have a registered civil partnership, you will need to prove that you're in a long-term relationship in order to stay for more than 3 months. The Belgian authorities should be able to tell you what paperwork they want for that... Be aware that they'll probably also want you to show that you have enough funds to support yourself, and also that in Belgium you're gonna need to sort out health cover - if you're unmarried and not in a civil partnership, you won't get medical cover under your partner, and it can get quite expensive here if you don't have a mutuelle (health insurance organisation).

My husband and I went through the same stress before moving to the Netherlands. We were convinced that the only option was to get married right away, but that wasn’t the case. I spoke with ImmiAssist(https://www.immi-assist.online) and they showed us that there are procedures for a “long-term partnership.” It took some time, but at least we knew from the start which documents we had to prepare.

Thanks @lemontart13 I appreciate you sharing this info.
I'll definitely explore this option. much Love x
