A hypothetical - if you didn’t have to worry about money (too much) and you could get a visa anywhere. Where would you raise a family?

We are happily raising ours in Denmark. But if we didn't, probably another Nordic country.

We visited Copenhagen for the first time in October and my DD loved it! We all did, but she really fell in love. Now she's trying to think of a way to do her university studies somewhere in Denmark, in English. Learning Danish in two years seems like a tall order, alas.

Not 100% sure but we would like to move to a more Muslim orientated country so our kids can have a normal upbringing being thenselves and have access to Arabic and Quran easily. It is in the pipe work but can't decide which country yet.

Tough question, quality of life countries seem to be bloody cold and dark half the year, places with sunshine get hot at Hades half the year. I’d love a Greek island but it falls into the latter

Switzerland as per PP sounds pretty great

we lived in California for 10years which we loved but it ultimately was too far away from home

My husband and I had this choice when I became pregnant at age 20. Raise our child in Canada or Scotland. We chose Scotland and I don't regret it for a minute.

I would have a look at the suicide rates in the Nordic countries before deciding they are some sort of paradise. Considerably higher than the UK and higher than much of Europe.

I'd like to stay here. Ideally we'd live closer to family though.

Where I am raising him. Ireland. He was born overseas.

Switzerland for the education, quality of life, outdoors and opportunities; easy to travel to other countries; however we were there for holidays and although it was lovely I don’t think DC will consider moving there as found it a bit boring and quiet. Have visited Australia and Spain too many times and I don’t think they will consider moving there either.

I think they are happy growing up in London that they are used to it to being in a big city.

France. My dcs are up and away now ( ironically back to Ireland where we come from originally for uni) but they had a wonderful childhood here - we are equidistant between the Alps and the sea. The educational system was robust but it made them both resilient. We never had any problem with them as teens as school pretty much dominated everything. They come back in the holidays with a posse in tow and there’s always so much to do. Best decision we ever made.
