Hi, I am likely going to be relocated to Singapore for work. Our kids would be Year 9 and Year 6 (Australia). They have lived in the UK for 3 years and went to prep schools in London, but have been back in Australia for 2 years. Looking for any feedback on Dulwich, Tanglin or the Australian International School. We are also seriously considering leaving our son (who would be turning 15 next year when we moved) at Boarding School here in Australia because he absolutely loves his school here and is thriving. My daughter is too young and not mature enough. It's all very confusing about how to make the right decision! Any experience on schools in Singapore, living in Singapore and moving high-school kids would be much appreciated. thank you!

There’s a great Facebook group called Expat Schooling Singapore. We are returning to SG in August and joining Dulwich but our kids are primary age

I think Tanglin is fantastic. Breadth of education, school trips and sport really good. . You may also want to look at UWC and Dulwich. School buses were much easier for us to sort for Tanglin than Dulwich if that makes any difference.
And several kids we know at Tanglin have gone to board in U.K. /Australia at 14 so would definitely consider if your boy is keen.
Good luck

Lived in Singapore for a long time - great place. All the schools you mention are good - Tanglin is the most established British school, Dulwich is popular but not so well located - it's out west. I know a lot of Australian families that have been happy at AIS - good location too.

In terms of bureaucracy, the Ministry of Manpower is really efficient at issuing residency permits (EP etc.). You will need to complete an online course if you wish to employ a helper. I think that estate agents take a commission from both landlord and tenant when they help you to find a rental. Rental market often a bit dead in August as everyone is away. Might be better securing one in advance if you can. But' I think market is a lot tighter now.
Children have have a lot of freedom as it's all so safe. MRT and buses efficient and aircon and safe.
Drink more than you think you need. We were surprised by how hard dehydration hit when we first moved to SGP.
