In the UK it wasn't a consideration at all, but here it obviously is! I want something I can use from birth and baby is due in June.

Thanks

good thanks. dunno if I'll ever get over it tbh, but aside from the damage as it were it's all a lot better, I'm standing up for myself a lot more, making him do stuff, he's even doing stuff without being asked (fainting emoticon). He is generally a stroppy arsed git but is clearly making a lot more effort.
I think he misses us and is all lonely in Milan. His mum just died recently so it's all rather difficult, but we're looking forward to move to Milan and new baby. Ta.

I was about to compliment your typing, but am much relieved to see htere is a typo after all

I always say, don't consider emigrating unless you're heavily pregnant. adds a certain element of fun if you ask me

I am going to Unteragi.

I think.

I need to call up the ski equipment rental place in town and double-check they really have x-country ski stuff.

hi RedQueen, have you just name-changed, or are you a new bavarian mumsnetter? [nosy emoticon]

I am canadian and have pushed prams through some pretty wild weather. I recommend big and sturdy wheels. I can't say a particular brand but the wheels are the key. Smaller wheels get caught on curbs and will snap off ( been there and done that). We don't leave kids outside stores in canada. Someone could actually call the police on you if you do it. However, we all take our prams into the stores and it is expected you will do so. I have used double prams and, it can be a tight squeeze but there is not a door yet I have not gotten through. Alot of my friends by those lovely sheepskin blankets from Ikea to throw over the baby in the pram and swear they are the best thing. Also you can buy the plastic cover to keep the snow off. I have walked my babies in minus 20 weather and believe me, once they are bundled, they are fine.
