CV Help for Germany please!

Hello we are trying to arrange a move to Germany while in the UK, I realise this is highly unlikely but need to try as hard as possible as the money isn't there to move and hope for the best.

Is it worth paying someone to translate and fancy up Dh's Cv and if so do you have any recommendations or thoughts on how much it will cost, please?

What kind of job is your husband looking for.?

If he wants one where he has to speak German surely he has the skills to write his own CV in German.

If he wants one where his employers will communicate with him in English, surely they can read his CV in English.

I don't have any recommendations for those types of services I'm afraid, although I do agree with marcopront.
You might however need some professional advice to tailor it depending on the industry. E.g. in some industries it is still necessary to include details on your personal situation (marriage status, kids etc), a very conservative style of photo and layout whereas for others it would be better to be more creative/modern.
Is he planning to directly contact companies in his industry? I've been contacted lots on LinkedIn about interesting job opportunities so I'd suggest reaching out to people there if he hasn't already.

German CVs tend to be very detailed. In addition to all employment, education, qualifications etc. they like you to include all training courses (with certificates) and a photo!
If you are thinking of applying "on spec" it might be worth looking at JobServe, Monster, Gulp and Indeed. Some big agencies, such as Hays, also have German operations and are worth registering with.

There are template Lebenslauf (CV) to download on Monster.de.

If you type the job title and Lebenslauf into google you'll probably get directed straight to one.

We used KERN for translations of certificates and qualifications and they were really good (some of our stuff needed to be certified). You can use and adapt templates to create your Lebenslauf. Both DH and I have CVs in English, though, since that is the language we are both using at work. I only needed to translate my CV for recognition purposes with the authorities. That depends on your husband's job, though.

It won’t be a question of simply translating it. Different countries have different expectations/norms when it comes to CVs.
