Good salary on east coast

Hi, what is considered a good salary on the east coast?
Currently, we both work, mortgage on 4 bed in south east uk, 2 cars, holidays, don’t really have to worry about money. I don’t want to put us in a worse financial situation by moving, especially as i wont be working at first.
Also, what is considered a good relocation package?

Any help gratefully received!!

We live in New England (MA) and know surrounding the surrounding states well.
I guess we would be considered middle class ish here (as are most of the friends we have) and it seems most families have a combined income of over 100k in order to maintain a home, cars, kid’s activities etc.
It’s an expensive part of the states to move to! Boston is super expensive, as is the south shore down to the Cape. New Hampshire is cheaper but all of New England is a tourist destination so rents and house prices are high also. We have a household income of over $200,000 and live comfortably but there’s not much left over each month. We are here permanently so are starting to have to save for college for two kids and retirement- it’s scary! Massachusetts has the nickname ‘Taxachusetts’ - town, state and federal taxation is a lot. We don’t have any competition for utilities so bills are high and we can’t shop around! Groceries have increased massively in the last 10 years - my Mum is always shocked when she comes to visit and comes grocery shopping with me. Out of pocket healthcare costs can be very high- we have a very good healthcare plan and it still only pays 80/20 plus we have to pay co-pays when we visit a provider and have a deductible (excess) after that.
An example of an average 3 bed house in our area is 350-400k and it gets higher closer to Boston.
That being said - it’s a stunning part of the US and NE to me often reminds me of a backdrop in a movie! Boston is a fab city, you can drive to NYC in 4 hours or drive 4 hours to the mountains to see the fall leaves or ski in the winter!

Meant to add - a good relocation package should include relocation costs, a wage 1.5-2x your UK income (realistically, especially with the pound/dollar exchange recently), help with finding rental accommodation before you arrive, and a decent company healthcare policy.
And if you have children in school and plan on staying here a long time then getting his company to include sponsorship for a green card is very important! That’s often a difficult ask, and may come with contract clauses to prevent him from moving companies once the green card comes through!

I haven't lived in the Boston area but have a lot of friends that do and I'd say you are looking at a minimum of $250k to have a comparable lifestyle in a town with good schools, maybe even more if you want a closer commute - good towns with excellent schools and short commute like Belmont, Lexington etc. will probably be well over $1m for a 3 bed house plus property taxes of at least another 1-2k a month. It's an expensive area for a reason, great place to raise kids, access to beaches and mountains and excellent schools

We relocated to Maine, DH works in New Hampshire. We have a combined household income of $70k and live very comfortably.

We relocated ourselves and spent around £4,000 on the move. We were lucky and were both working within 3 weeks.

The cost of living is low, property taxes on a 3 bed 1700sqft home are $3800 a year. We spend about $300 on food a month for the 3 of us. We run 3 cars, 2 ATV’s and have a second property we use for weekends.

Were in Maine and have an income of $60-90 a year. We manage just fine.
