Anyone in Geneva? Costs question

AdoraBell · 01/06/2019 21:33

DDs are going on a school trip to Geneva, can anyone tell me please what some basics will cost? I’m thinking, a coffee and pastry, basic lunch, sandwich etc. They won’t be drinking alcohol or going to expensive restaurants for dinner.

Any and all advice very welcome.

TIA

Also supermarkets, like Migros, sell the usual sandwich/snack/bakery options and will be much cheaper if they need to watch their spending. There are plenty of outlets dotted about.

It’s a bit of a how long is a piece of string question, without wanting to sound at all rude, because she will find that prices will vary greatly across Geneva. At the airport a coffee, sandwich and pastry will cost you 20.- to 25.-. In Starbucks a tall latte is 7.20.-. But she could find lunch a lot cheaper elsewhere such as Aldi, or Migros. If she’s running out of cash she can look out for the kid options in bakeries as they are often quite cheap - our boulangerie did a petit pain au buerre (soft buttered roll) for 1.- and the Swiss are quite happy to serve tap water and don’t expect tips either.

Thanks again for all the info 😁
