Has anyone in Germany/Austria used/can you recommend any German language residential summer camps for their children?

I’m looking at the YA! Kids Camp for my 7 year old, but wondered if anyone has tried it or has alternative recommendations? V hard to track down options and reviews!

Hi,
Maybe one of the centres listed for younger children under www.humboldt-institut.org may be what you are looking for. No personal experience through.
If your child already speaks some German and your goal is to improve his or her oral and listening skills you may want to consider a pony riding holiday just for children. With full board, two hours of riding lessons per day and other activities such camps you are looking at prices starting at 350 Euro/week. The children on these holidays are usually all native German speakers, which would help a lot in improving oral/listening skills.

That sounds like an excellent idea. We’re definitely looking to improve oral/aural skills. She’s bilingual but we’re based in the UK and it’s a struggle to keep things up.

I can relate to those concerns. Medium term, maybe something like the „Deutsche Fernschule“ - if she and the German speaking parent have the time - will help your daughter develop her writing skills in German.
Hope you find something suitable.
