Can I buy vaccinations on NHS for a child born overseas?

Just that, really! We're living in China and our son is due for his 2-month vaccinations; however, since we are returning to the UK for a holiday this summer, our paediatrician has recommended we get his jabs in the UK. (China has banned imported vaccines so only local/joint venture stock available and none of rotavirus/ pneumococcal vaccines.)

I appreciate that although we are British citizens, we are not UK residents and so not entitled to free NHS care. However, does anyone know if it's possible to have the vaccinations done by the NHS and just pay for it? I've seen info that says overseas users must pay the NHS list price plus 50% but how do I find out what those prices are? And who would administer the doses? My local GP surgery just says my son would be a temporary patient and they don't provide vaccinations for temporary patients!!

I found one private clinic in London but it's mega expensive (over £500).

Any advice?! Thanks in advance Smile

I suspect you would have to go fully private, as opposed to paying the NHS to do it.
