Been watching the weather reports on the very wild weather over in NSW.

Hope all MNers there are fine.

Bit nasty I think. Dd is on yr 7 camp. Canberra via Sydney, all they saw was the inside of the bus. No zoo trip.
Hmm

Keep safe everyone xx

It was very wet! Rained constantly and heavily from Monday early morning until Wednesday evening. Lots of flooding everywhere and Tuesday afternoon in the CBD was awful. We had a few leeks and a lovely roofer (from Sheffield!) came over to see us this morning and said he's never been so busy and is seriously worried about how he's going to cope!

The sun is out again now though. Thankfully. Thoughts out to those who were affected.

My dd is on her school camp to Canberra too!

We were at a holiday park during it, pretty bloody scary I can tell you! Also cabin fever inducing as we were all stuck in with none of our home comforts Hmm . DH took the kids to have a look at the massive waves crashing onto the beach but they couldn't actually walk towards it as the winds were so strong. Family down that way have been without power for 3 days now, they are some of the luckier ones as they have gas heating and cooking. So glad to be home!

For those who have DC at camp in Canberra, the weather here is fine - about 18 degrees, slightly cloudy, no wind Smile

We're just outside Maitland - it's horrific here :(

I've met so many people I never knew on my street, fed complete strangers and had random men in my shower (not as much fun as it sounds!) but we're thankful for just how lucky we are. We've got power, food and water - so many others have had it much worse.

The SES and Rural Fire Service volunteers have been incredible.

Live in orange, west of Sydney, it's been yuck here!
