International schools in Paris

Hi,
I am wondering if anyone has up-to-date information about the Eurecole in Paris, at middle school level, or if anyone can put me in touch with parents of kids who attend the school? Thinking of sending my son there.

Schools evolve and information can get out of date so for anyone interested, here's my take on the Lycee International in Saint Germain en Laye, where my daughter is currently a student. The Lycee is an excellent school and continues to be among the best-performing state schools in France. However the workload is so heavy that any child who is not highly structured in their working methods will find it hard going. There is also a great deal of pressure on the kids to excel - we know several high school pupils who are actually on medication or in therapy to cope with their stress. I am sure the same goes for some of the other elite French lycées, but parents, particularly ones coming from countries where schools have a more balanced approach to education, need to be aware of this. These schools are not for the fainthearted!
I hope other parents with kids currently in French schools will add their own information to this thread.

These schools are not for the fainthearted Couldn't agree more. I have dcs at an international school in Paris and it is brutal! DD (13 - 4eme) regularly does an 8 till 6 day at school followed by lots of homework. They don't know any different and are keeping up, but DH and I do feel a bit sorry for them. French parents of course can't see what the problem is! I think you need to know what you are getting into and accept that you need to have round pegs for round holes. Previously we were at the Lycee in London where DH used to joke that the school motto should be Fit in or F* Off. I find it always helps to keep that in mind in any dealings with school.
