Andalucian moan

Those living in the UK are welcome to punch me now but I need to have a rant about the realities of having a toddler in southern Spain. Does/did anyone else find the lack of activities a pain? I don't want to go to the beach every day, besides we are an hour away and it's very hot. There is nothing to do inside - everything is shut until 6pm when we are starting to think about eating. I guess the Spanish have this amazing support network with their families. If you are out here on your tod that's it. DH works from home and am forever trying to steer DS out of his way so he can work.
Anyway, moan moan.....
Shouldn't complain I know and everytime we go back to the UK I thnk how lucky we are - despite the amazing range of activites there are...
Wish you were here - maybe not.

No, I can imagine that's tough - having visited the area, I know it's pretty sparsely populated, and 'nice scenery' isn't something a toddler will appreciate!

Living in SW London, I do try to remember every so often how lucky we are to have such a choice of playgrounds/groups one o'clock clubs etc.

I'm sure you've looked into it, but are there any parent/toddler groups, nursery type things anywhere near by?

good luck anyway!

Hola Chicca, i'm in Andalucia too and completely understand where you are coming from. We basically change our routine in the summer and become night owls, not ideal but it's the only way. I always feel more homesick in the summer, as i get bored and think about libraries, local attractions etc Anyway keep your chin up
