Possibility of moving to Singapore for 2 years

Dh's work is bidding on some work which would - if they win the contract - mean moving to Singapore for 2 years. Would find out at Christmas and job would start in February.

I am happy to go and take ds (who would be nearly 3 and 1)

2 months is not long to get organised for upping sticks and going somewhere new for 2 years

hubby works for a small company and we are not sure how much support they will give us and they arn't experienced in reloacting employees.

anyone been in a similar situation and have any advice?

Singapore is very expensive - you need to know first what they are offering money wise and willing to cover such as relocation costs, rent, schooling, medical etc. moved there myself with a 4 and 1 yr old and had a great time.

You could also look at Singapore expat sites like ExpatSingapore.

We live "just up the road" in KL and I have several friends that live in SG.
Agree with Bling, you need housing, medical, relocation and travel costs included in the job package above the basic salary. A small rented Apartment in SG is a LOT of money.
Your kids are quite young so make sure you check if the package includes nursery education if you want it (again, very expensive in Asia, and as not compulsory, some employers don't include it)

Be warned though, we came to KL for two years ten years ago. We were going to be home in time for dd1 to start secondary, I just left her in the UK to start uni in a few weeks.
