What kind of thing are you looking for?

sansouci · 16/06/2006 09:40

kids clothes, mainly. I would love it if M&S delivered outside of the UK, having spent a blissful couple of hours there 2 weeks ago. Baby Gap springs to mind but no joy there either. Boden's a bit on the expensive side, especially once delivery & duty are taken into consideration but...

What about using the catalogue and getting them delivered to a UK address then posted onto you?

sansouci · 18/06/2006 11:30

I've thought of that but my step-daughter is reluctant to pay the postage & go to the trouble of sending it on, my SIL is wheel-chair bound with MS & my PIL are in their 80s. Oh well!

depends on how old your kids are but mothercare will ship overseas. otherwise you could try landsend. they have sites in various countries. only thing to watch out for the import duty - i got stung for a load when i was living in japan and ordered from the states and then i had to return the clothes anyway - grrr!

where are you headed for/living already?

MaryP0p1 · 18/06/2006 18:20

What about H&M or benetton?

sansouci · 19/06/2006 14:14

Lands End great but am always careful not to order more than $60 worth at a time. LE not so great for women's stuff, though, or shoes. Prefer LLBean.

We have H&M and Benetton here. Want to avoid having all of us look like clones.

WHY can't Gap or M&S deliver overseas?! Angry

another thought - do you or your husband work for a company that has an office in the uk? any friends/colleagues based there who could take delivery (or just address to your name, country office X, c/o the post room) and then forward it onto you via the "internal mail". bit naughty but if you only ordered a few things and not too often... could run into import duty problems though if you are ex-Europe.

Dh is going to the London office on Thurs but he has no patience for my shopping "addiction"!
